The Taj Mahal is the most popular historical monument in India. It is an epitome of love and passion. It was built as a memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife of Mumtaz Mahal after her death in 1631.
It was built in the seventeen century by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan on the southern banks of the River Yamuna in Agra. The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal Architecture , a style that consists of elements from Persian, Turkish, Indian and Islamic architechtural style. It took twenty one years to built this majestic Monument. It is constructed with white marble for the main mausoleum, red sand stone for fortifying structure and accents. Over twenty thousand people were used to built this Monuments. The Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983 and was cited as “ the jewel of Muslim” art in India and of the universally admired master pieces of the World’s Heritage.

* On Arrival Agra meet tour guide and proceed to visit – Taj Mahal, it was built as a memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife of Mumtaz.
Note : Taj Mahal remain close on Friday
- After visiting Taj Mahal proceed to Agra Fort . It was built in 1565 A.D by great Mughal Emperor Akbar.
- Lunch : After Agra Fort have lunch in local restaurant or in good Hotel
- After sightseeing Agra –Drive back to Delhi
- After arriving Delhi our Driver will drop you at the hotel/airport on your onward journey.
